(100 Fly LTB... 49.48!)
Sunday night started and ended with a bang... and in between we continued to see lifetime bests and gutsy swims.

As the meet was beginning to get underway, Matthew Gagne needed only 49.4 seconds of all-out butterfly to complete his 100 fly time trial.  That was a lifetime best, a school record, and only one tenth off the National Automatic Qualifying Time. It was a fantastic and aggressive swim (out in 22.8!).

Travis Being Recognized as
Senior Diver of the Meet
From there Matt Johns, Andrew Briggs, and Venka Duvvuri continued to drop time in their events - Nick Karlson and Andrew Seaton scored us big point in their events, and our 400 freestyle relays were our fastest of the year (most notably Karlson going 46.5 again!).  Our divers were huge tonight too with Porter grabbing 11th and Travis getting his second top 8 finish with a 5th overall!

When we thought the night was wrapped up and complete, we received news that Travis Jones was awarded Senior High Point Diver of the meet!  That award goes to the senior diver that scored the most points over their career. It is quite an honor... only our second diving one in the history of the program! (our 3rd overall; Kelsey Lamdin '09 and Katelyn Drake '10).

In the end we saw over 60 lifetime bests, 7 new varsity records, 2 NCAA B-cuts, and one All-NESCAC swim.  It was great to see such improvement from so many guys.  I can't believe how much time they dropped they weekend!
